~ Meeting my cousin’s beautiful 2-month-old baby.
~ Going to the movie theater and watching The Heat. My stomach hurt from laughing so much!
~ Having a 4th of July meal with my family. Oh, and the strawberry shortcake that followed.
~ The chance to begin again. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

~ Looking out the kitchen window and seeing an animal friend in the yard: either Dandelion the deer, the family of ducks, the turkey, or the rabbit.
~ Spending time with Thomas, who was my very first friend in high school.
